A tank struck by the wrong kind of ammunition could survive impact by hundreds of rounds of anti-tank ammunition. So, simply a well aimed discarding sabot depleted uranium penetrator from a Western 120mm gun is sufficient to disable ANY tank.
It is possible that it would puncture the tank increasing the interior temperature dramatically to 10,000 degrees leaving fragments flying inside wildly. This explosion ignites the ammunition within the tank, which is most likely to result in the ejection of the turret from the vehicle. The explosion would kill all the crew members on instant and trigger off the tank ammunition.
